Another page from Persona Club. I tried my best to translate it, hope it’s okay! I believe these are their reactions to each other before the events of the game.

Some of Nanjo’s phrases were a little confusing. If anyone has a better idea of what he’s saying, please let me know!

X-Men is an American animated television series which debuted on October 31, 1992, in the United States on the Fox Network as part of its Fox Kids Saturday morning lineup. In 1990 Margaret Loesch became head of Fox Children’s Network. Having championed the Pryde of the X-Men pilot in 1989, she was quick to set up an order for 13 episodes of X-Men.

In its prime, X-Men garnered very high ratings for a Saturday morning cartoon and it received wide critical praise for its portrayal of many different storylines from the comics. Prejudice, intolerance, isolation, and racism were all frequent themes in the animated series, as they were in the comics.

Along with Gargoyles, this still remains one of my favorite American-made series. X-men had plenty of action, interesting characters and storylines you could relate to and was, to me at least, a gateway drug into reading comics.

Persona Users & The Velvet Room

Skipping ahead a bit, let’s go talk Persona users. This one is much shorter, but there is a bunch more of information to go. I’ll tackle Strega and the Persona Experiments after this (it’s pretty sad and depressing. Be prepared).

But Meanwhile…Elizabeh is a snoop, Personas are words of power and not actual gods and demons, and just how the SEEs users get their powers.

QUESTION: WHAT EXACTLY IS THE POWERS OF THE PERSONA ABILITY?

Persona takes the form of gods or demons because by putting the name to the power, the persona user can control that power with free will.

Ie it functions as a stabilizer, and also why they are called Another Self.

(In other words, this reaffirms what is said in Persona 2:)

QUESTION: WHAT IS THE MECHANISM BEHIND PERSONA SUMMONING?

Elizabeth mentions that in the main storyline of Persona 3, all of the characters are using guns to summon Personas.

Igor: Yes, but I’ve known other Persona users who do not use/need these weapons to summon their Persona, yet it does not mean the SEES members are not as advanced! It is completely possible for SEES members to summon without the use of guns.

(Pixle’s Note: Something we would see a lot more of in Arena years later!)

Guns are a means of having Persona be more stable by summoning through the power of fear.

Fear shakes up the person’s consciousness, and by shaking the mind up, the dimension between the unconsciousness and the physical realm breaks, and you are able to pull out/call forth the Persona.

Each SEES gun has a plume of dusk in them, and that assists in the summoning, since they are a part of Nyx and Nyx itself is the reason/connection the collective unconsciousness, in a way.

In Persona 3, the persona ability isn’t given by someone (Philemon), but rather their own resolution to go against death.

QUESTION: THERE ARE A LOT OF DOORS IN THE VELVET ROOM, WHERE DO THEY ALL LEAD TO?

Elizabeth: They go to bathrooms, the toilet, bed room, kitchen, the dining…
